You are creating your own universe, aiming to build a unique world and breathe life into it through players who will be able to, among other things, develop the land they own… Who is the #Aftermath Islands team? Tell us about your people, your past and your experience, why did you choose the direction of games and blockchain technology?
David Lucatch
Thanks. We are a group of technologists, gamers, experienced execs and marketers — but most of all, I’ve been a comic book collector my whole life.
We’ve also added great people from the comic book world, like Fabian Nicieza, the co-creator of Deadpool and his brother Mariano. Our team has been in the Internet space since the 1990s and blockchain for over 6 years. We love gaming, but felt that the world needed a way to have realistic graphics and gaming (hi-res) without downloading and I believe we are among the first to use UE5 and Pixel Streaming — check out our Sizzle Reel:

We believe that Web3 and blockchain give everyone globally an opportunity to be included and we’re focused on making sure no fakes, bots or hacks are in Aftermath Islands, only real people using blockchain-based Anonymous Verification. Some of our past projects include the Movies Frozen, Avenger, John Wick, Iron Man, Star Wars and we’ve worked with the Band KISS and The New York Yankees, F1 Racing and more. I think that about covers it. We are so excited, but also focused on creating an amazing open world where people can play, work, learn, earn, entertain, build and socialize — a “real” Ready Player One experience without downloading so virtually any device can use our high-res UE5 experience.

This sounds really great, especially as I myself am a fan of computer games and have been involved with them since I was a kid, starting with NES on PC and consoles using VR, we will elaborate on this in the next questions, now let’s move on!
When someone visits your main website, the eye is immediately attracted to the words: “Own your piece of metaverse paradise” — our community, especially the part of it that has never had to deal with the metaverse, is undoubtedly curious to know what the virtual lands you offer are and why they were created? What are the benefits of owning them?
David Lucatch
Our storyline is based on the world flooding and when the rains stopped and the clouds parted, Islands appeared…some have different evolutions. We have islands for communities (like Sims) and RPG (a variety) and private islands for brands — a variety for everyone. And land can be acquired for as little at $35 USD, or through earning NFTs and selling them on our marketplace for DUBS through our upcoming P2E game Lost Kingdom of T’Sara (in open beta) https://lkot.kvaba.com/
The benefits of ownership are many as there are many utilities for land and professions including creating farms, stores, renting land and building on it. Additionally, there are many professions and brands coming to Aftermath Islands, so it’s just not about land, but much, much more. It’s an open world to be conquered!
Different “islands” have different playability, creating constantly new opportunities for engagement and interaction. You can be who you want to be, and do what you want to do.

The interesting conception of the world, I like the combination of RPG, and simulators that present the operation of the world, its development, by the way, you give us the opportunity to earn, which is really great, in the past, when commodore ruled, we did not have such opportunities.

That is true. We want you to live your “best virtual life” in Aftermath Islands with high-resolution graphics and playable opportunities.
NFT tech is undeniably part of your project, the technology seems to be forever a part of the metaverse and blockchain-based games, what are NFTs in Aftermath Islands, how do you get them and why is it worth getting them by playing your game?
David Lucatch
Well, you can earn them through LKoT (Lost Kingdom of T’Sara), you can produce them through Professions and you can create them as part of our Creator Program and of course, you can buy them from our programs. This is really a comprehensive economy powered by our Utility Token, DUBS. We believe that we’re giving people what they want. First we want to be in a virtual world that looks “real”. We also want to engage with people who are “real”. But we want all the fantasy, gaming and entertainment, so I believe we will deliver. And… We want the ability to have secondary economic value that can support our lifestyles and with our professions, activities and economy, powered by our Utility Token, DUBS, we can deliver.

Thank you. We’ve been doing this a long time and we put our resources and funds into the project, drawing from internal sources and bootstrapping. We put our “money where our mouth is” and have built a strong community of landowners already. We believe there is a lot of “talk” out there and we wanted to make sure we have been delivering.
How do you plan to convince people that transferring themselves into a virtual world will benefit them? Since marketing is elementary to make a project successful and get people interested in it worldwide, our question is, what is your solution to make this happen?
David Lucatch
The world is already transitioning and by adding both “real world” and “gaming”, along with our rolodex of large organization and past successes in new technologies, we believe we can achieve this. We have previously built a social media program that had over 200 million users and we’ve worked with major brands and have been marketing for many years. We believe that this experience and our connections in the comic book world will help make this happen. We are also providing many organizations with “incentives” to on board as they don’t want “cartoon” based graphics and with our Unreal Engine 5 graphics, you can make people, places and brand item look real and create experiences that are totally awesome! We also have an amazing community that is promoting Aftermath Islands.
The game also offers a utility token. $DUBS are designed to be used within the Aftermath Islands, can you tell us what its holders will gain and why it was actually created? Looking at the possibilities you offer, I would like you to elaborate on all the benefits of owning it. We are also curious to know if you plan to expand the usefulness of this token in the future?
David Lucatch

Of course…we’re gamers. We’ve got PVP / PVE and all kinds of crafts and professions that support active engagement. Many of our Islands are themed for Combat! Super — Smash Island is for you!
The future, as they say, is unknowable, but in the case of Aftermath Islands we are curious to know what you are planning for the next few years, please tell us about your future, and what lies ahead for your investors. We are also curious to know which point on your current roadmap you personally find the most interesting?
David Lucatch

We have already met our H1 2022 goals and are working on our H2 2022 goals. Our mandate is to create an open world that everyone can play in using Unreal Engine 5 and Pixel Streaming so everyone can play without downloading — this is a remarkable achievement. Our focus is growing as we want to build an active and engaging platform where everyone is a real person — you can have as many avatars as you like, but only 1 account.

The fact that you can play without downloading the game while using the Unreal 5 engine is really quite an achievement, and it’s worth pointing out because this engine in itself, is not a cheap technology as far as I can see.
David Lucatch
The technology to do this is very expensive and we’ve done all of this through internal resources and community land sales — we wanted to make sure we got it right and we have!
Since there is a lot of competition in the market, tell us what innovations you plan to introduce to beat other projects similar to yours? By the way, tell us more about why, out of so many networks, you chose Polygon to build your project on?
David Lucatch
First, we have differentiated ourselves with our UE5 and Pixel Streaming technology and our unique P2E NFTs that can be sold and traded and used in our platform. We’re also integrating Anonymous Verification and interoperability across platforms and other metaverses. Lastly, we are now a Ready Player.me developer and they have interoperability across more that 3,500 games and platforms and we believe that we can attract some of those communities. Also, we are seasoned gamers and business people having worked with major brands and technology companies (and sports and entertainment) and we have put our own resources in first — not relied on outside VCs. I believe we are way different than anybody else out there and we plan on staying ahead of the game. And don’t forget our comic book creators and friends — more to come on that in the future.

Well, we don’t think of it as investing, but as becoming part of our community. We are looking to create long-term relationships. We’re onboarding Economists to help with the forecasting as well as industry experts in a number of fields so that we can work to create a sustainable economy.

Considering that you have a large number of opponents, can you share with us a few killing features that make you superior to them? What are the strengths that enable you to look to the future with hope?
David Lucatch
Pixel Streaming / No Download to Play with High-Resolution Unreal Engine 5 Graphics / GPU Cloud Servers to name a few — this is one of the first platforms to use this technology. Almost any device can stream and interact (including mobile phones) without clogging up the device with downloads. It is also our major relationship with amazing storytellers and artists from the Comic Book Industry.

David Lucatch
We are focused on inclusivity so that people from all over the world have equality. You can earn and build NFTs — you don’t just have to buy them. We believe that this is the fairest way to do it.

Is your project A community only for English-speaking countries or for users not of other languages?
David Lucatch
No, we’ve worked in multiple languages (over 68) in the past and we’ll be implementing 2023 a translation protocol so that everyone can accept languages that they chat in, regardless of the originating language. We are also using DIDs (Decentralized Identifiers) and DIDComm to support our in-game communication for validity.

We are focused on privacy and safety first and working with leading security experts. We are installing the Meta Park Pass by Liquid Avatar Technologies to ensure that everyone who activates in Aftermath Islands is a real person and your biometrics are your password. This way we do not have to store personal information and everyone manages and controls all their personal information and data. It is revolutionary and part of our “killer app” program.
