DEV UPDATE + March summary
To demonstrate the strides we’ve made in recent weeks and to fulfil our commitment to openness and effective communication upon which the Synapse Network was founded, we’re delighted to share with you the latest advancements in our development efforts, many of which have been hinted at in previous releases. Here’s a summary of what we’ve already accomplished:
👨🏻💻 DEVELOPMENT 👨🏻💻
Over the past month, our main team of app developers has focused its attention on several key tasks that were related to improving our app’s core features while also providing new services for the users.
- First and foremost, they have focused on completing work on the launch of our latest feature called Synapse as a Service, bringing this new option to our roster of services.
- As part of the work on this service, our developers also improved upon our smart contracts, which are a key element in the blockchain that secures transactions and contracts between users. Smart contracts are a very important tool that provides security and transparency in the transaction process.
- Another crucial element of this update was environment preparation and application deployment, which required an in-depth knowledge of cloud infrastructure management and network security to polish to the degree we wanted.
- Developers also had to integrate our application with The Graph, which is a platform that enables easy and fast search and analysis of blockchain data, ensuring that each transaction would be seamless and transparent for our users.
In addition, developers continued to work on the dApp related to our vesting contracts. Vesting is the process of gradually assigning employees or business partners a stake in a company as part of a contract. Vesting contracts are necessary to ensure the long-term motivation of employees and partners to act in the best interest of the company they are part of.
Finally, developers have worked for our B2B partners by preparing a host of new smart contracts for them. Working with partners is crucial to the development of interesting applications and to delivering valuable services for our users. Preparing smart contracts for our partners required a customized approach for each, to better adapt to their specific needs.
All in all, our developers’ worked overtime for the past month, solving complicated issues that required in-depth technical knowledge, but produced many valuable results for the apps we released and, more specifically, for our users.
🔝 WHAT ELSE HAPPENED? 🔝
The month began with the end of the February Sprint on the CREW3 platform (currently Zealy.io) and the opening of a new Sprint for the following month. We also announced the amazing winners who made it to the podium in our leaderboard.

Thanks to your activity during the February sprint, another 40k SNP tokens were burned. We would like to remind you that every completed task on the Zealy.io platform allocates you points, and the sum of all the points in a given sprint will be equivalent to the token burned at the end of the month.

We all enjoy the AMA and the awards that AMAs bring. Our guest was the OCTO Gaming project, we talked to them about their future, development and the goals they have set.
